Take Your Bike for a Hike

A take-your-bike-for-a-hike route. This route is a true mix of trails, hard trails, easy trails, and road. Prepare for single track sectors as you ride on smooth paved bike paths or short road sections. Learn what the real limits of your gravel bike are or go slow on the pavement on a MTB to smooth out the trails. Either way this 44.9 mile route is really fun and hits some of 3 different state and county parks, even going up to 7k feet just under Horsetooth Rock. Not far from home but not for the faint of heart.

The Stats:

  • Distance: 45 miles

  • Paved: 25%

  • Climbing: 4500 feet

Notes: You need a Horsetooth and Lory pass.

Refills: There is water at Horsetooth and Lory.

Tires: There is some steep and gnarly shit. You’ll have more confidence and safety going bigger for this route…like a 42 WTB Resolute. ENVE G23s will also make this wicked fun.
