Redstone Canyon

This great gravel out and back is between the Horsetooth Mountain Park entrance and Masonville. It’s very pretty and has been very quiet every time I’ve been down it. The residents on the road have always seemed nice and I always give them a hello and a wave.

The Stats:

  • Distance: 32 miles

  • Paved: 65%

  • Climbing: 2400 feet

Notes: Be aware: do not trespass. Even though it looks like you could keep going at the end of the road, it is 100% private property.

Refills: There is water at Horsetooth.

Tires: Something like a WTB Vulpine in a 36 would be super fun. A lot of the gravel is fast rolling and is best paired with a fast gravel tire that can get you through some of the fast off-camber sections.
