Northeast B-Road Saunter

This route pieces together some fun B-road sectors and looser terrain, making for a “busy” and fun course. B-roads are always a little extra fun and tend to be more susceptible to the weather with their minimal maintenance. Enjoy their seasonality and constant evolution. * Edited to exclude the Douglas Reservoir canal sector which seems to be permanently closed.

This route is a part of the 2024 FoCo Fondo Training Series (Women’s Weekend- long route).

The Stats:

  • Distance: 56 miles

  • Paved: 18%

  • Climbing: 2400 feet

Notes: The B-roads change a lot with the seasons- muddy, washed out, sandy, etc.

Refills: None, but you could divert into Wellington if needed.

Tires: The WTB Vulpine 36 for speed or Vulpine 40 for pleasure.
