Lory, Horsetooth, Redstone Canyon
This was a part of our 2021 September Gravel Graceland Experience. It’s a perfect ride to show you the amazing range gravel bikes can handle. Don’t forget to bring your Lory State Park pass or purchase your day-pass online ahead of time. Valley Trails through Lory a good and fun challenge on the gravel bike, then climb up and over Horsetooth on the road, before descending down and enjoying a stupidly scenic out-and-back on Redstone Canyon.
The Stats:
Distance: 50 miles
Paved: 50%
Climbing: 3300 feet
Notes: You need a park pass to go through Lory State Park. There are daily and annual options. Also, remember that bike traffic yields to hikers, walkers and horses.
Refills: There is water when you exit Lory State Park and at Horsetooth.
Tires: The WTB Resolute will get you through the single track sections.
