“Just” Lory - Redstone Canyon

50 pretty legit gravel miles full of gravel roads, easier single track, and some time in the mountains. Please be aware of fee areas. With the amount of single track, don’t underestimate the duration. Skipped Redstone Canyon would be an easy option if you are short on time.

New for 2023, State Park passes are included in car registration unless you opt out, but until then you’ll need an annual pass or single day bike pass ($4) to enter.

The Stats:

  • Distance: 50 miles

  • Paved: 30%

  • Climbing: 3000 feet

Notes: There are some sections that can be quite loose.

Refills: There is water in Lory on either end. Masonville Mercantile is a good place for snacks. Horsetooth Reservoir has water if you need on the way back in.

Tires: The WTB Vulpine 36 for speed or Vulpine 40 for pleasure.
