“Just” Cherokee Park Loop

This route starts at The Forks in Livermore and scoots up to a pretty incredible mountain loop up Cherokee Park. You’ll zip down a maybe 60-second descent before a sharp nearly 180 onto Prairie Divide. Enjoy the shaded pine and aspen forest as it concludes most of the climbing for the day. You’ll then start a dreamy descent down County Road 82E…use extra caution as it continuously changes through the season and there is no cell service. You’ll finish your loop at this point and will just have the stick of the lollipop left. Enjoy a sandwich and a coffee at The Forks after!

This route is a part of the 2024 FoCo Fondo Training Series (July Ride- Shorter Option).

The Stats:

  • Distance: 37 miles

  • Paved: 10%

  • Climbing: 3700 feet

Notes: The descent down 82E is quite fast and technical. Use extra caution.

Refills: The Forks at Livermore.

Tires: The WTB Vulpine 36 for speed or Vulpine 40 for pleasure.
