Deadman Pass Adventure: Short Route
Don’t let the mere 25 miles fool you, there is still 3000 feet of elevation gain. Deadman Hill is all gravel and super scenic.
Local’s secret: There is a short window between when the snow melts and Deadman is closed to cars and that is heavenly.
The Stats:
Distance: 25 miles
Paved: 0%
Climbing: 3000 feet
Notes: This is a popular camping spot for RVs and trailers in summer. There can be people with ATVs driving around…you can hear them coming but they aren’t always looking for you.
Refills: None.
Tires: Although there is a some fine gravel, there is also some pretty messed up remote roads. You’ll have more confidence and safety going bigger for this route…like a 42 WTB Resolute. ENVE G23s will also make this wicked fun.
