Wave and Smile like you live in that HOA

Linking together some amazing mixed terrain surfaces from Poudre River Trail, to Kestrel Fields, Laporte Dirt, Cement Plant and across Eagle Lake HOA on the east side of Route 1, this route is very fun and busy. A new road or trail day is in store for many on this route where you’re never far from Fort Collins, but you get to feel “out there” on all the winding paths between reservoirs.

The Stats:

  • Distance: 31

  • Paved: 40%

  • Climbing: 900 feet

Notes: Be nice to people on trails, yield where appropriate. Know that the canal trails are private in some areas and that generally people don’t mind you riding through an HOA neighborhood but make good decisions.

Refills: Laporte and all the old town businesses on the way back into town.

Tires: Anything really. We like the 36 Vulpine by WTB for the bumps in the trail and hitting the adjacent dirt trails off the paved trails.
